Curriculum

A theme-based, hands-on curriculum is used to provide each child the opportunity to develop their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical skills.
Social

Children are encouraged and given time to develop friendships as they explore, create, and play together with their friends.

"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world".
Nelson Mandela

Emotional

A high self-esteem is essential to a child's well being.  The Leaps and Bounds Children's Academy staff will help each child develop confidence through positive reinforcement and activities geared for challenge and success.

Cognitive

Children will be introduced to colors, shapes, numbers, phonics, writing, reading readiness, etc. through varied developmentally appropriate activities.

Physical

Each child will have the opportunity to develop balance and coordination through physical education activities, outdoor play, and the use of a variety of playground equipment.  Fine-motor skills will be strengthened through art experiences, scissor skills, playdough and manipulative toys.
